Youth Service Advisory Board was established in the 1960's as a response to a growing number of issues affecting youth. The role of the Youth Service Advisory Board has expanded to include both advocacy and coordination of a comprehensive service delivery system for youth
Youth Service Advisory Board is organized to provide:

On-going assessment of youth needs and the coordination of services for youth

Core Functions:
  • Departmental Administration 
  • Research
  • Resource Development
  • Community Involvement
  • Youth Advocacy



Youth Services is required to have an advisory board responsible for making recommendation on overall policy, ongoing assessment of youth needs, evaluation and function of you services, and program direction.
