STAFF REPORT
Mr. Giner stated in the spring and the fall the Department of Environmental Protection holds municipal aquifer protection agency training. Each town gets one voucher. By law one staff person or one commissioner has to be trained. Both Ms. Higley and Mr. Giner have attended the previous training. Mr. Giner stated if anyone on the Commission wants to utilize the free voucher, there is an opening on Monday, June 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with lunch included. Mr. Giner asked that any Commission members that want to attend should let him know. He added that the town is in compliance because at least two staff people have already attended.
Chairman Duren stated it is on the Planning and Zoning agenda to accept the Aquifer Protection map. Mr. Giner stated including information on the zoning map is the responsibility of the Planning and Zoning Commission. The requirement from state statutes is that the Planning and Zoning Commission of a town must adopt the map and not the Agency.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Ladd made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Gregory, to adjourn. Following a unanimous vote, the Agency adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
