MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
June 14, 2006
CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the Enfield Prison/Town Liaison Committee was held at the Enfield Town Hall, Thompsonville Room, Enfield, Connecticut on Wednesday, June 14, 2006. Chairman Nowak called the meeting to order at 7:00.
ROLL CALL
Committee members present: Chairman Tophie Nowak, Kenneth Edgar and Roger Lavalee.
Liaison(s) present: Deputy Chief Anjo Timmerman.
Present from the Department of Corrections were: Warden Peter Murphy, Enfield; Major Kimberly Weir was in attendance for Warden Esther Torres, Willard/Cybulski; and last but not least, Warden Bruce Cuscovitch, Carl Robinson, arrived at 6:59pm.
Guest(s) present: Charles Woods, Candidate for 59th District.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes from the March 9, 2006 meeting were passed unanimously.

Report of Chairman
Chairman Nowak talked with Mr. Tim Jenson of the Enfield Press and hoped that he would be in attendance tonight. He may be getting in touch with the wardens to discuss the different programs that the inmates partake in.
Chairman Nowak mentioned that her monthly notification is not consistent.
CRCI – Bruce Cucovitch. The Fourth of July Celebration is coming up and some CRCI residents will help out with the setup. Nothing more to report.
Enfield – Warden Peter Murphy. Nothing to report.
Willard – Major Kimberly Weir. Nothing to report.
Nothing to report.
Mr. Charles Woods mentioned that he is running for the 59th District and would like to have Town Meetings and present to the citizens different issues with the prison system to make them more aware of situations and ease any tension. He would like to include the wardens at these meetings.
Chairman Nowak stated the next meeting is scheduled for September 13, 2006 at the Enfield Town Hall, Enfield Room.
The meeting stood adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
