ENFIELD TOWN COUNCIL

MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING/BUDGET REVIEW SESSION

THURSDAY, MAY 1, 2008

The Special Meeting/Budget Review Session of the Enfield Town Council was called to order by Chairman Kaupin in the Enfield Room of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut on Thursday May 1, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

ROLL-CALL - Present were Councilmen Dumont, Edgar, Kaupin, Mangini and Ragno. Councilman Kiner arrived at 6:32 p.m., Councilman Bosco at 6:33 p.m. Councilmen Crowley, Jones, Lee and Nelson were absent. Also present were Town Manager Matthew Coppler, Director of Finance Lynn Nenni, Director of Human Resources William Mahoney Personnel Coordinator Dawn Maselek, Training/Employee Relations Coordinator Gail Miller, Democratic Registrar of Voters Carol Censki, Republican Registrar of Voters David Wawer, Judge of Probate Susan Warner, Director of Health William Blitz and Director of Environmental Services Michael Caronna for the North Central District Health Department, Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki.

The budget proposals for Registrar of Voters, Probate Court, Human Resources, North Central District Health Department, and CIP were reviewed.

MOTION #9815 by Councilman Mangini, seconded by Councilman Ragno to go into Executive Session to discuss Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations.

Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #9815 adopted

7-0-0 and the meeting stood recessed at 8:49 p.m.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Executive Session of the Enfield Town Council was called to order by Chairman Kaupin at 8:50 p.m.

ROLL-CALL - Present were Councilmen Bosco, Dumont, Edgar, Kaupin, Kiner, Mangini and Ragno. Councilmen Crowley, Jones, Lee and Nelson were absent. Also present were Town Manager Matthew Coppler, Director of Human Resources William Mahoney, Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki

Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations were discussed with no action or votes being taken.

Chairman Kaupin adjourned the Executive Session at 9:04 p.m. He reconvened the Special Meeting at 9:05 p.m. and stated that during Executive Session, Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations were discussed with no action or votes being taken.

ADJOURNMENT

MOTION #9816 by Councilman Ragno, seconded by Councilman Bosco to adjourn.

Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken the Chair declared MOTION #9816 adopted

7-0-0 and the Special Meeting/Budget Review Session stood adjourned at 9:06 p.m.
