TOWN OF ENFIELD

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Chapter 103, §7-255 of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Enfield Sewer Authority shall hold a Public Hearing on May 5, 2008 at 6:50 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT to hear comments on properties affected by the proposed sewer use charge rate for the 2008-2009 billing. The proposed rate is $1.50 per thousand gallons of wastewater treated. Said rate and notice is on file with the Enfield Town Clerk.

Chairman Kaupin announced the ground rules for the Public Hearing.

Chairman Kaupin noted tonight’s regular meeting agenda includes an item to schedule another public hearing because the $1.50 rate has been found to be incorrect, therefore, it’s necessary to hold another public hearing. He stated the correct rate is $1.64 per one thousand gallons of wastewater treated.

As no one from the public wished to speak, Chairman Kaupin closed the Public Hearing at 7:04 p.m.
