A meeting of the Enfield Town Council, acting in its official capacity as Water Pollution Control Authority, was held in the Council Chambers of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut on Monday, May 1, 2000. The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Peter Falk at 9:38 p.m.
ROLL-CALL Present were Commissioners Dodd, Egan, Falk, Fiore, Hall, Kaupin, Mangini, and McGuire. Commissioners Surapine, Strom and Vayda were absent. Also present were Town Manager, Scott A. Shanley; Assistant Town Manager, Daniel Vindigni; Town Clerk, Suzanne F. Olechnicki; Town Attorney, Christopher W. Bromson; Director of Finance, Gregory Simmons; Director of Public Works, John Kazmarski.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION #962 by Commissioner Kaupin, seconded by Commissioner Dodd to accept the minutes of the April 17, 2000 meeting.
Acting Chairman Falk referred to the first paragraph of the minutes and noted he opened the meeting since Chairwoman Strom was absent at the April 17th meeting.
Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #962 adopted 7-0-1 as corrected, with Commissioner McGuire abstaining.
MOTION #963 by Commissioner McGuire, seconded by Commissioner Surapine to remove Item 3(a) from the table.
Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #963 adopted 8-0-0.
RESOLUTION RE: ADOPTION OF SEWER ASSESSMENTS NORTH RIVER STREET, OLD KING STREET
It was agreed there would be further discussion on this item when the Town Attorneys opinion is available.
MOTION #964 by Commissioner McGuire, seconded by Commissioner Mangini to retable this item.
Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #964 adopted 8-0-0.
ADJOURNMENT
MOTION #965 by Commissioner Surapine, seconded by Commissioner Kaupin to adjourn.
Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #965 adopted 8-0-0, and the meeting stood adjourned at 9:38 p.m.
