ENFIELD TOWN COUNCIL acting in its official capacity WATER POLLUTION CONTROL AUTHORITY APRIL 17, 2000
A meeting of the Enfield Town Council, acting in its official capacity as Water Pollution Control Authority, was held in the Council Chambers of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut on Monday, April 17, 2000. The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Strom at 8:56 p.m. ROLL-CALL - Present were Commissioners Dodd, Egan, Falk, Fiore, Hall, Kaupin, Mangini, Surapine and Vayda. Commissioners McGuire and Strom were absent. Also present were Town Manager, Scott A. Shanley; Assistant Town Manager, Daniel Vindigni; Town Clerk, Suzanne F. Olechnicki; Assistant Town Attorney, Maria Stavropoulos. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION #958 by Commissioner Dodd, seconded by Commissioner Mangini to accept the minutes of the April 3, 2000 meeting. Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #958 adopted 9-0-0. RESOLUTION #959 by Commissioner Kaupin, seconded by Commissioner Vayda. WHEREAS, the Town Council acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority has considered the information developed at the Public Hearing held March 20, 2000 at 7:25 p.m. and continued on April 3, 2000 at 7:25 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut, regarding Sanitary Sewer Assessments for the Town of Enfield. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in accordance with State and Town Statutes, the properties identified on the proposed assessment roll are hereby assessed as proposed. Mr. Shanley stated they received an opinion from the Town Attorneys Office, however, its a general opinion. He noted hed hesitate taking action on this without the Town Attorney being present. MOTION #960 by Commissioner Vayda, seconded by Commissioner Surapine to table this item. Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #960 adopted 9-0-0. ADJOURNMENT MOTION #961 by Commissioner Vayda, seconded by Commissioner Mangini to adjourn. Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #960 adopted 9-0-0, and the meeting stood adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
