MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING
MARCH 20, 2000
A Public Hearing was held in the Council Chambers of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut on Monday, March 20, 2000. Chairwoman Strom called the hearing to order at 7:30 p.m.
ROLL-CALL - Present were Councilors Dodd, Egan, Falk, Fiore, Hall, Kaupin, Mangini, McGuire, Strom and Vayda. Councilor Surapine was absent. Also present were Assistant Town Manager, Daniel Vindigni; Town Clerk, Suzanne F. Olechnicki; Town Attorney, Christopher W. Bromson; Director of Public Works, John Kazmarski.
Chairwoman Strom read the following Notice of Public Hearing which was published in the Journal Inquirer on March 11, 2000:
TOWN OF ENFIELD
LEGAL NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING
MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2000
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 7-250 of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Enfield Town Council acting in its capacity as the Enfield Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 20, 2000 at 7:25 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut to allow effected property owners an opportunity to express their opinions regarding the proposed sanitary sewer assessments.
Copies of the proposed assessments are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk and are available for public inspection Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or you may call the Town Clerk at (860) 253-6438 for an appointment to review the assessments.
Chairwoman Strom then announced the ground rules for the Public Hearing.
Director of Public Works, John Kazmarski, was present. He stated letters were prepared and delivered to all effected property owners. He noted the Department of Public Works has been available to answer any questions residents may have. He noted one person has set up an appointment, and he suggested postponing this Public Hearing to the next regular meeting.
MOTION #4502 by Councilor Falk, seconded by Councilor Vayda to continue this Public Hearing to April 3, 2000.
Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #4502 adopted 10-0-0.
Chairwoman Strom closed this Public Hearing at 7:35 p.m.
