PHILOSOPHY

The Enfield Day Care Center provides a relaxed, happy, and home-like atmosphere where children feel safe and secure. The program’s goal is to satisfy the children’s physical, emotional, social, cognitive and nutritional needs. Each child’s background and life experiences are recognized and appreciated. Children are given maximum opportunities to express themselves in a creative manner. Communication and cooperation between the Day Care Center and the home is crucial. All parties benefit by aiding each other with information and resources to facilitate the healthy and happy development of the child placed in our care.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1. To provide a secure place for children to stay while parents are working or going to school.
2. To encourage children’s development of self-esteem.
3. To facilitate optimum cognitive development.
4. To encourage friendships among children and to teach them good social skills.
5. To participate in meeting children’s health needs.
6. To form a partnership with parents in order to best meet the needs of the child.
