The Alcorn School Family Resource Center presents:
Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP)
A six-week parenting course for parents of children ages one to five
The purpose of parenting is to protect and prepare our children to survive and thrive in the kind of society in which they live. In today's world, parenting is probably one of the most difficult jobs you will have in your life. This six week program will offer you some logical and progressive steps to help you provide structure, consistency, positive discipline techniques, and more effective communications in dealing with your children. The classes are geared to parents of ONE TO FIVE YEAR OLD children.
There is no charge to attend this five week program, but it is necessary to commit to attending the entire six-week series in order to change patterns and develop more effective skills. If at all possible, it is recommended that both parents participate.
