Effective July 1, 2005 The Enfield Transfer Station will be utilizing the new Scale for incoming materials. However, Scrap Metal may be brought to the Transfer Station and disposed of without a fee.In the Fall an accommodation will be made for Leaf Drop off by residents.

All vehicle traffic will be required to weigh in and weigh out as a price per pound fee will be assessed.  Residents bringing material in will be required to have a current residential Permit and all incoming waste will be charged a $ .05 cents per pound fee.

Residential Permit

$ 5.00 (Annual)

Fee by Weight

$ .05 / lb.

Residents who have in their possession an Entry Punch Card, will be credited for the balance on the card towards the price per pound assessed, and must surrender the card to the attendant.

All cards will be honored regardless of year purchased. The Entry Punch Card must correlate with the Residential Permit assigned to the registered Vehicle.However, no new Punch Cards are being issued.

We thank you for your assistance in helping us with this new transition.Staff will be on site to assist residents with any questions or concerns.

Any questions or concerns, particularly those relating to commercial permits, borrowed vehicles and temporary permits should be directed to the Office of the Solid Waste Superintendent. (860) 763-7524/7560
