POSITION VACANCY

 

CLERK-TYPIST, ADULT DAY CENTER

 

  • RATE OF PAY:  $13.06 per hour, $13.32 per hour effective July 1, 2006
  • CLOSING DATE: Tuesday, June 6, 2006
  • MIN. TRAINING & EXP:  Graduation from high school or possession of high school equivalency diploma (GED) and one (1) year of office experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HOURS OF WORK:  19.5 per week increasing to 35 hours (full-time) July 1, 2006

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Involves a wide variety of clerical tasks and provides office support to an adult daycare facility.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of the Director of Adult Day Care.

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Regular & punctual attendance; answers phones; sets up admission appointments; copies charting contents; collects client fees and bookkeeping of these fees; does medical billing; prepares new admission packets; charts review for completion of contents; computerizes medical forms and charts; computerizes attendance process; distributes and tabulates client satisfaction surveys; does publicity; sets up in-services for staff to maintain certificates and licensure; takes minutes ad advisory board meetings; computerizes policies and procedures in preparation for certification visit.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs other related work as required.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, reach with arms and hands, stand, use hands to finger, grasp handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. 

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Hand-eye coordination is required for operation of computer and various office equipment.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:  Must be a proficient typist and knowledgeable of varied office procedures; clerical ability; ability to accurately follow written and oral instructions; knowledgeable of office machines; must be able to deal effectively and courteously with the general public. Must be proficient on computer.
