TOWN OF ENFIELD
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES

Sealed proposals will be received on Architectural and Engineering Services, for Roof Replacements and additional renovations to the Enfield Public Library and Enfield Town Hall, Enfield, Connecticut.

The Work consists of roof replacements for the Central Library and Town Hall, with interior renovation work as outlined in the Request for Proposal. Estimated construction completions: Central Library October 2005 and Town Hall November 2005.

Proposals shall include Lump Sum for the total design and administration of the projects. It is the intention that the design and administration of the Work will begin on or about May 4, 2005 and shall be completed no later than December 2005.

Proposal Requirements may be obtained by pickup at 40 Moody Road, Enfield, CT 06082 during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm on or after April 5, 2005; or by written request on company letter head faxed to the office of the Town of Enfield Public Works, Attention: Joanne Larson 860-272-1143. All written requests must provide a fax number with the company name, complete address and attention persons clearly outlined. No other form of request or distribution will be provided.

Submit proposal based on the Request for Proposal requirements. Submit five (5) signed copies of the Proposal sealed and delivered to the office of the Director of Finance, Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082, on or before 11:00 AM, Tuesday April 26, 2005. Proposals delivered after that time will not be accepted. Proposals will be opened publicly at that time and read aloud. The right is reserved to reject any and all proposals or to waive defects in same if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Enfield. The name of the project must be clearly marked on the envelope of all sealed proposals.

Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the due date for submittal without the written consent of the Owner.

A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2005, beginning at the Enfield Public Library 104 Middle Rd, Enfield and end at Town Hall, 820 Enfield St. Enfield CT. Proposers are required to attend and participate in the conference to be considered for the work.

The Owner reserves the right to accept any proposal or reject any or all proposals and to waive information in the Request for Proposal.
