Septage Handling Information

On October 21, 2013, the Enfield Town Council amended Chapter 86 of the Enfield Town Code. This action has resulted in new regulations for the sewer system and the Water Pollution Control Facility. Also on October 21, 2013, the Enfield Water Pollution Control Authority adopted a revised Sewer Service Fee Schedule (PDF).

As a result of the above actions, effective January 1, 2014:

  1. Grease will no longer be accepted at the Water Pollution Control Facility at 90 Parsons Road.
  2. Each hauler who utilizes the Water Pollution Control Facility as a septage receiving station will be required to pay a $100 permit fee per calendar year.
  3. Each load of septage coming into the plant will be charged on the full truck capacity.

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact the superintendent of the Water Pollution Control, Kevin Shlatz.
