Two (2) brown yard waste tipper barrels will be collected per week at no additional charge.  A maximum of two (2) additional tags may be purchased for brown tipper barrels for $45 each for the year.  For yard waste pickup during the month of April as well as October 15 through the end of leaf pickup season, we will pick up additional barrels without tags.  Several opportunities are available for Enfield residents to dispose of yard waste and leaves. State of Connecticut law prohibits the disposal of grass clippings with household trash. For more information visit the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Grass Clipping website.

Brown Tippers can be used to dispose of organic materials and vegetative debris such as grass clippings, twigs, leaves, and tree limbs up to 2 inches in diameter. Please do not put household trash, plastic (including flower pots), demolition debris (including lumber), or tree limbs greater than 2 inches in diameter in to your brown tipper. Disposal of these items in a yard waste tipper may result in fines to the Town. Brown Tippers are available for purchase at the Enfield Public Work office, 40 Moody Road, during our office hours of 8 am - 3:30 Monday through Friday.  Note that payment must be cash or check.  Tipper barrels may be delivered free of charge after receipt of payment.

Yard Waste Tippers will be picked up every Friday from April until the beginning of December (except for holiday weeks and weather permitting). Please place them curbside by 6 a.m.
