News Release for the Week of November 3, 2014

Stop in for our Annual Holiday Craft Fair, Bake Sale and Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, November 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Start your holiday shopping for those one-of-a-kind finds at the Enfield Senior Center. Breakfast! Shopping! Dessert! What a way to begin the day!

The Enfield Cultural Arts Commission will sponsor a Veterans Tribute on Sunday, November 16 at 2 p.m. featuring renowned pianist Paul Bisaccia at the Enfield Senior Center. Paul Bisaccia will perform Stars and Stripes Forever, in a tribute to those who have served their country. The concert is free and no tickets are required.

Gather your friends, your children, and your grandchildren to celebrate the music of the Beatles together. On Friday, November 7, Beatles for Sale, an amazing Beatles tribute band, will share the music of the Beatles, singing song after classic song. Tickets are $7 per person and include a dessert and coffee.

Drop in for a free Mindful Meditation class on Monday, November 3 at 9:30 a.m. This class is sponsored by Landmark at Monastery Heights.

WOW! Women on Weights was such a popular class that we are adding a new day and time. This class is broken down by muscle groups so the entire body is trained. Light weights and bands will be used. The sessions are held Wednesdays from 5 to 5:45 p.m. from November 5 through December 17 for 7 classes. The fee is $21 for residents and $28 for nonresidents. Additionally, the class is offered on Fridays, from 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. from November 7 to December 19 for 6 classes. There is no class on November 28. The fee is $18 for residents and $24 for nonresidents. Register in the Senior Center office.

• Health New England Medicare Advantage Plans – Wednesday, November 19 at 1 p.m.

Trip flyers are available on our website at www.enfield-ct.gov/seniors or can be picked up at the Senior Center.

Day Trips
Day trips are available for sale on or after the trip sign-up date.
• The Lettermen at the Garde Arts Center, November 12, 2014. Cost: $88 pp. This trip is sold out!
• Texas Tenors at Foxwoods Casino, December 11, 2014. This trip is sold out!
• Santa & the Goldtones at the Log Cabin Restaurant, December 11, 2014. Cost: $52 pp. Tickets are available at the Senior Center Front Desk.
• It’s a Wonderful Life at the Stageloft Theatre, Salem Cross Inn, December 13, 2014. This trip is sold out!

Multi-Day Adventures
Reservations are being accepted for multi-day adventures.
• Hawaii Cruise, January 22-February 1, 2015. This trip is sold out!
• Springtime Tulip River Cruise, Belgium & the Netherlands, April 10 – 18, 2015. Contact 860-763-7427 for pricing and availability.
• Alaska Inside Passage Cruise, May 6 – 16, 2015. Cost: $2489 pp/inside stateroom/dbl. This trip is sold out!
• Sunny Portugal, October 15 – 25, 2015. Cost: $2999 pp/double.
