[ARCHIVED] Security Awareness

3/18 – Security Awareness - IT is working hard to increase security without interfering with day-to-day productivity. To best address the Town’s network security and keep the Town’s information safe, the IT Department is using:

  • Advanced Threat Protection – When an email with attachments arrive, Advanced Threat Protection begins a scanning process and strips out the threat before coming onto our network.
  • KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training – We are providing staff with training, which will teach us how to recognize spear phishing and ransomware attacks.

The best advice is to be cautious when responding to requests for information and confirm verbally if you have any suspicions.
