[ARCHIVED] Stowe Child Development Center, FRC, Adult Day Center, Youth Services Closing Until Further Notice

Effective end of business day Friday, March 13, the Town of Enfield will be closing the Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) at the Stowe Early Learning Center, the Family Resource Centers at Stowe and Henry Barnard, the Youth Center, and the Adult Day Center until further notice.

Efforts have been made to individually contact all participants. We recognize and do not take lightly the impact on the families we serve and are confident that keeping families and our employees healthy is a shared desire.

For the closures at the Child Development Center and Family Resource Centers, notice will be sent through ECDC and FRC email, phone, Facebook and DoJo. Parents may contact the ECDC at 860-763-7003, and the Family Resource Centers at 860-253-4721.

Information about the Youth Center closing will be posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Staff will call and assist parents with any concerns they may have regarding this temporary situation. The Youth Service offices will remain open and staff will be available to assist youth and families. They can be reached at 860-253-6380.

Please remember to conduct your town business remotely if you are able to. Please visit our website: or call (860) 253-6300.

While we know these actions will cause some concern and inconvenience, we have a responsibility and obligation to protect both our residents and employees from the COVID-19 virus. As the situation evolves and more information becomes available, we will update and disseminate that information through our social media and press releases. Please continue to check our website under the Department of Emergency Management, or follow us at Enfield Town Manager and Enfield Emergency Management on Facebook and @EnfieldTM on Twitter.

We thank you in advance for your patience, understanding, and cooperation.
