COVID-19 Vaccination Enrollment and Registration Assistance for Enfield Residents Only:

The Department of Social Services – with assistance from the Commission on Aging – will be providing VAMs Enrollment and Registration Assistance for those Enfield residents age 75 and older so that they can be scheduled for their vaccination appointment. If you do not have anyone who can assist you with navigating the process – adult child/grandchildren/friend, please call 860-253-6398 so that we can help you. Appointments for assistance will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis beginning Monday February 1st.

 Social Services

Through JFK’s continued partnership with Enfield Youth and Family Services and funded through the Youth Mental Health and Wellness Advisory Council dollars, we are excited to offer JFK students a great enrichment opportunity. Our Virtual After-School Tutoring Program is intended to provide free academic and counseling support to students and families in-need during this highly stressful time.  Students will be assigned a peer group to belong to and work together with on their study skills, organizational skills, goals, discuss any social or emotional concerns, and reflect on the week with a JFK Guidance Counselor facilitating the group. During the week, students will meet one on one with a certified educator to gain Extra! Extra! academic support. Each session would be at least 30 minutes and would continue weekly for an 8-week cycle (4 Math sessions and 4 ELA/Reading sessions). At the end of each week, the educators/counselors/administrator will assess and determine the needs of the student, considering their skills, participation, and attendance. Please contact Dave Lacobucci at diacobucci@enfieldschools.org for more information.

Family Resource Center

The next round of FRC’s virtual Learning through Play Groups is kicking off next week. Families will receive a kit with themed art materials and a book to use at home during the group to make it more interactive. Families and caregivers of children ages birth- five are welcome to contact Erin Grimes at egrimes@enfield.org or 860-253-6580 for more information.

 Police Department

This is a friendly reminder that it is a violation of CT General Statutes 14-242a(a) to operate your motor vehicle upon a roadway while it is still covered in snow and ice. This could result in a $120 infraction so let's all be safe and clear your vehicle off before you leave your house or place of work.

Help Us Plan Enfield’s Future

The Town of Enfield and the Planning and Zoning Commission have started the comprehensive planning process to update the Town’s Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).The POCD is a strategic plan that will guide land use, development, and decision making for the next 10 years. As part of the planning process, we are seeking input from the community to inform our effort and the Plan. This Community Survey offers you an opportunity to provide your thoughts and perspectives on Enfield today and the Enfield you want to be part of in the future.

The survey only takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete—time well spent to participate in the planning of Enfield’s future. We thank you for your interest in our community and taking the time to inform the Town’s planning process.
