Town of Enfield Sponsors Annual Clean Sweep Event April 23rd, 2022

The Town of Enfield is sponsoring its annual clean up on April 23rd, 2022. Clean Sweep is a community based volunteer effort to clear identified parts of town of trash. Volunteers spend a morning walking around town and collecting litter.

Anyone interested in helping can show up at the Town Hall on Saturday, April 23rd at 10:30 am. The Enfield Beautification Committee will provide work gloves and trash bags. In addition, Eversource will distribute 50 tree saplings on a first come first served basis in recognition of Earth Day.

Last year, dozens of residents participated in this effort to keep Enfield looking great!

“We encourage residents, organizations, youth groups etc. to join this community based volunteer effort to clean up identified parts of town of trash and litter. improve the physical appearance of our community,” said Mayor Bob Cressotti.

For this year’s event, the group is actively seeking volunteers and sponsors. Interested parties can contact the Town Managers Office at (860) 253-6350 or via TownManager@enfield.org with any questions.

If you cannot make it April 23rd, feel free to join our Community Police Officers on Friday April 22nd at 4:00 pm at the Freshwater Pond for an Earth Day Spring Clean event hosted by CrossFit gym.
